IT company driving on the high
9th May 2011, written by KET
After a few years of stagnation of investment in new IT solutions, there now seems a turnaround after increasing pressure from the carriers' customers and the carriers' own desire to become more efficient. Financial crisis has kept firms from investing in new IT, but many have now become aware of the benefits of having an efficient and modern IT solution. Customers today demand more and more of transportation firms, both environmental friendliness, high efficiency and fast delivery. It is something that the IT company Easy Cargo Systems also have felt. "Many companies have finally realized the necessity to meet customer needs and optimize their workflows." Says Finn Laursen, managing director.
Increased focus on exploiting resources The crisis has forced carriers to become more competitive and opened their eyes to how much there could be saved by reducing waste of resources. This has slowly led to an increasing demand from enterprises for renewal of their existing IT solutions. Increased demand in the market means new projects and development opportunities for Easy Cargo Systems. "We have begun several very exciting projects and it really reflects the positive development in the transport industry's use of IT." Says Finn Laursen.
New employees arriving The growing interest has led Easy Cargo Systems to employ an additional programmer in autumn, Claus Jorgensen. "We already in autumn recognised that it was necessary with an additional programmer, but still the work load made us hire yet another programmer in March to solve the current and future projects." Says Finn Laursen. Lotte Levring has also just been hired as Project and Quality manager, so she can keep track of on-going projects and ensure that quality is top notch. "We have hired Lotte to take care of the planning of our projects and strengthen relationships with our customers." Says Finn Laursen. The new staff will strengthen the company's productivity and quality and equip the company to meet the increased demand.
